FMF has a 2011 300 6D model now that they are working on. They wanted to check the fit and finish on their pipes and silencers on a new bike so I arranged to get them a one.
I was really surprised when I got a call just a few days after we started as the US Distributor from Doug Mueller at FMF. He is the head of sales there and simply wanted to congratulate us and introduce himself. He offered to help us in any way he could. He told me that Donnie Sr is a huge Gas Gas fan and really appreciates the fact that the factory specs FMF products as stock equipment. I had the impression that all of the guys at FMF were pulling for GG to succed in the US.
Doug went over to Spain back in November and called me before he went to ask if there was anything we needed from FMF and the factory. I really felt like he wanted my genuine input rather than simply playing lip service.
I have always liked their products, especially since I am old enough to remember what FMF stand for. I even remember their ads back in the day using the original name....Flying Machine Factory.
