Hi there - first post from me as a new member of the Gasser family !!:)

Will probably sound like a fool :o but I need fork (and dust) seals for my new purchase and I can't find out which variant of forks I have !!!
EC300 yr2000 with USD forks measuring 54mm at the top near the yoke, and the fork leg itself is 43mm diameter. Has the following numbers stamped on the fork cap 38.00 05500705B

Any clues ????
I'm in the UK and need to get the seals - would really appreciate any advice or pointers where best to source them (once I find out which ones to get !!!).

Thanks a lot - looking forward to getting it all sorted so I can go for a blast !!

You have WP 43's (so do I). Pop one out and you should be able to get it at your local bike shop. They aren't uncommon.

eBay is your best bet, gasgas uk will charge you a fortune, and when I rang up for some off them they advised me to shop elsewhere...

A lot of KTMs came with that fork since 2000, so there should be no problem getting seals. The fork is also easy to work on if you have reasonable skills.

Fork seals replaced

Hi there - all done - hjad a tool made locally (?10) for pressing the new seals home squarely and .... ding dang doo ... job done, no leaks and passed MOT !!

Thanks to all for your help.:D
