FSE 400 piston crossover?

I have a buddy who needs a piston for his 03 400FSE. We found out that the OEM piston is beyond crazy price-wise! Any truth to the rumour that a DRZ400 piston works?

Hi, I have verified that this does work. You can checkout www.wiseco.com and they list a standard compression and a high compression for the DRZ. These are the same pistons as your 400.

As a follow on question - does anyone know if any of the valve-train components will interchange as well?

I have been told that DRZ valves work better in the FSEs than the OE versions.

Althought the piston's are the same size, is the connecting rod and everthing else located in the same place?
