FSE 450 rebuild, DR-Z parts?

Hi! I'm rebuilding my 450 engine. I have to change these parts:

OIL PUMP BODY
OIL PUMP ROTOR
RETRIEVABLE PUMP RING
RETURN OIL ROTOR
OIL PUMP COVER
CENTRAL CRANKCASE GASKET
CLUTCH COVER GASKET
DISCS COVER GASKET
IGNITION COVER GASKET
CAM SHAFT DRIVE CHAIN
CYLINDER GASKET
CYLINDER HEAD GASKET

I also need bearings, piston, cylinder regeneration, cam regeneration, clutch discs and tappets.

And I have a few questions.

Where should I order parts? My mechanic told me that he can buy parts for me and it will be 1500 euro which is lots of money.

I heared that cilinder head is exactly the same as Suzuki DR-Z 400, is it true? OEM tappets would be 200 euro, tappets from DR-Z are much cheaper.

And the bearings. Can I use others than OEM? Like SKF, KOYO or something? What's the difference? I need 6306C3 and 6303C3.

Thanks.

I can say that drz cam chain fits 100% on my FSE450 from 2003. I replaced my tappets with OEM but I'm 98% sure they were the same size as my DRZ's (I own one of those too). Maybe look at getting parts form somewhere else because I only paid $80 for each tappet and DRZ ones were $112 each  I bought from Scotties Dirt Bike Spares in Melbourne Vic Australia.

I had a head rebuilt by scottys a year or so back and from memory it was only $200. That was for FSR 450 08

I just got a new cylinder with piston and rings, both clutch gaskets, head gaskets tappet cover seal etc all for $500 to $600 from the guys at motocross center, try them they were very helpful and deliver fast.

Does anyone know if i can replace head gasket with some other than original GasGas....bastards want 50 euros (55-60 dollars) for that gasket...

Not to hijack the thread but I'm wondering whether the sensors and injector might cross over from Suzuki as well

valve stem seals

Does anyone know of another brand of valve stem seals that will cross over to GasGas?
Due to the GasGas parts shortage I have run out of dealers to check.
My street legal 07 450 with 1530 miles on the clock has started to smoke a bit sitting at red lights. I did a leak down test, and it was well within spec, it still runs strong. I suspect the seals.

Damn, my bike is smoking too (quite a lot). I'm going to order some over here in Aus, but I'll take the ones out of my bike and measure them and let you know what they fit. I'm pretty certain they will be exactly the same as DRZ ones, because essentially everything DRZ fits the top end (Buckets, shims etc.). Mines a 2003 btw, but I think it'll be the same. At the worst you can take yours out and compare measurements with me.

If you could pass that info along when you get to it, that would be a huge help.
Thanks.
Mike.

As regards bearings, you can search for another brand like KOYO etc. When I had Yamaha, I could buy 3 bearings (Timken) and two seals for about 14 eur instead of ~ 100 eur (offered by Yamaha dealer). Later on I foud out, that Yamaha uses (at least for XT6600) KOYO bearings as a standart.

Added 30 Jan 2018:

As regards bearing for the front wheel of GG FSE 450, 2005, anyone can search the net for bearings with dimenssions: 25 x 42 x 9mm.
One normal bearing (made by KOYO, TIMKEN, SKF) should cost around 12 eur. And you need 2 pcs.
