It looks like there are a couple in the Bronze class but that's about it. That's disappointing, given that Gassers have a reputation as a bike that does well in hard terrain.

It seems that Jonathon Richardson was a Gas Gas rider previously but he now appears to be riding a KTM, with red plastics.

The reason there are not many gas gas is 5 days hard riding with virtually no spares backup. Very risky.

I did it last year, no bike issues at all, some people have disasters with the bike, either mechanical failure or crash damage. ktm and beta parts are easy to get everything else you are unlikely to get.

There seem to be 27 spanish riders in the race. You would think that some of them might have been on gassers. They could have driven to the race with all of the spare parts that they might have needed.

Richardson didn't finish yet, he's on 30.

p.s. Walker is in hospital because of his bad leg (abandoned) and Paul Bolton had to stop too (not sure yet if he'll continue or not).

There seem to be quite a few KTM's with red plastic, possibly some of the spanish riders. The rider in the front row at the far left, number 51, is on a red bike but it's a spanish rider on a KTM.

Well there you go, there is a Gasser in the Gold class. Even his facebook page shows him riding a KTM. He needs to update it with some nice Gasser photos.
