Gas gas ec 300 cooling fan

I did this fan.

It's the same one trail tech uses for their kits. I also ordered the temp sensor and temp controller from trail tech.

Here's a pic

I had to make a bracket to mount the controller. It might be easier to just buy a KTM kit and modify it to fit. But I guess if GasGas has a kit that would be the easiest route. I couldn't find anything a few years ago when I was looking at doing mine.

Thanks for the replies! Have you more details or pics on how you mounted the fan mate? Thanks

I just used rubber washers between the fan and the radiator. Then I slid zip ties through the fins. Then on the other side used another rubber washer backed by a steel washer, then cut the head off another zip tie and zipped it on the end to hold it all together.

Similar idea to this.

I'm not clever enough to mount a fan so cheated using a heat sink

That's pretty spendy! 275! I think it would be better to just buy the trail tech kit for a Ktm or Honda and modify it too work. I think those are about 125 and come with the digital temp controller.
I only purchased the fan and rectifier and use a manual switch. I know that I paid less than the KTM fan kit price at the time

Where did you get your controller? Do you have a link?

$84.00 Amazon New Fan Kit Installed

This kit bolted right up and the wiring was plug and play. The only issue is I had to use plastic mounts ($7.00)because the GasGas radiators are too wide for the aluminum mount. Everything in the kit was super high quality, OEM SPAL fan, in-line fuse and switch. I used a manual switch because I have a trail tech voyager with an inline temperature sensor that flashes a red light if my bike gets over 200 degrees F, then I just click the switch with my thumb and the fan switches on immediately.

After taking off the rad covers, I didn’t remove the radiator or drain the coolant, I just removed the two mount bolts, then loosened up my rad braces to squeeze in the fan. Note the inline fuse. The wiring harness just runs back and connects to the battery by two leads. The switch clips into the wiring harness and is installed onto the bars. Fairly simple.
