Hi i need help.
I did a general overhaul. I replaced the crankshaft seals. and when I tighten the nut (crank shaft pinion lock nut).there is the opposite thread. I found on the Internet that he needs to be tightened on 98NM. but when I tighten it to approximately 70NM .the crankshaft is very difficult to turn. should it be? can new seals do it?
Thanks for help. And sorry f?r my Bad english.

Did you split the cases? If so, I would check to make sure that the crank is centered between the cases. If not, you may need to hit the crank shaft with a mallet or brass hammer to get the crank centered in the cases.

You should not need much force with the hit.

Agreed, if a light tap does not do it, I would try and use another method, such as a crank installer tool to assist with the light hammer tapping.

If you hit it too hard you could force the crank out of true.
