whoop whooop whoooop ,stripped carby at track still no luck, gunna do it again at home but after 15 kicks i could smell fuel im hopeing it aint electrical ,its got a 2.5 hrs old iridium plug and on the way home i forgot to turn off the fuel and it was damn bumpy id expect it to overflow after an hour or more of drivin home{bike in back of ute) but absolutly no evidence of fuel leaking out overflow. What do u guys reckon fuel or electrical and by the way iv,e just rebuilt topend(resleeved)3hrs old and it had sat for 14months before i bought her.Any opionion would be f#*#*N great?????

Check for spark before you do anything. Sounds like a sudden failure? If so I would doubt fuel problem in that case.

Might help if you state model and a little more about how it quit.

thanks for the reply rpduc

its an ec 250 2001 , after a 1 hour ride it was missing in revs down low and up top i put it down to having the exspansion chamber ding removed(when i bought it ,it was smashed in)i presumed the old owner may have adjusted the air fuel mixcher, upon inspection i couldnt find the air fuel mixer?i let the bike rest for 30 40 minutes started it up for a mate to ride and in the next 40 seconds i could hear it slowly loseing power then just died.its got a brand new iridium spark plug which i,d thought would last more than 3 hours and i ran the engine in using the 15 minutes ride 15 minutes rest 4 times when i stripped the carby there was no rubbish in the float bowl and i removed the fuel filter as well i didnt check the spark plug and i had a quick look for loose wires and checked the spark plug lead .i hope this is enough information. cheers mate!

Was the spark plug dry? Was it black and wet, go 2 steps down in main jet and replace the spark plug (ordinary br8es)!

spark plug was black, thanks for ur feedback pelle!i wiill check the main jet now and drop it down.
