gear change problem

Hi gents my 03 gg ec300 has a problem with gear change on mx tracks and enduro courses it's struggles to change up when hoofing it's along and have to try 1 or 2 times.
I don't think it's my boots or the gear leaver position. when I ride it on the road it's fine
Could it be the fork selectors

on a different brand bike, I cleaned up the wheel that defines each gear [don't know the name] and the roller and it helped a lot.
I know this probably is impossible to understand unless you look at an exploded diagram etc

The bearings on the transmission shafts are probably worn a bit. Next rebuild buy all of the bearings and replace them while you have the case split. Another question is what oil do you run in the transmission?

Hi mate thanks for that will do that. I use 10/40 poutline soz for the spelling it's th 4 t stuff I use that in my honda cr5 and was recommended by here and by the mx shop lol
It never liked gear oil the problem would be worse ???
