So I am in the market for a 2 stroke, 300. 1st 2 stroke since an IT250K in '86. (Now I'm showing my age).

I've had a heap of 'Bergs, love them but its time for an oil burner.
I like the TE but its a KTM in drag & Im finding that hard to come to terms with, but I have ridden one, loved it & the suspension felt familiar & good, especially the forks. I had a VOR for a year, that had Paoli forks & they were terrible. I thought it might have been a VOR thing but rode a Sherco & that felt the same.
Basically I am scared to venture out of my comfort zone with WP.

So a Gas Gas looks like the way to go but I'm worried about the suspension.
After a lot of time on WP gear, how does the Sachs stuff compare? Is it is as good? Can the Sach gear work as well?

Please tell, I am sure there would be a few riders on here that have been across a few rides.

I think you will find that there are a few very capable suspension tuners on Sachs. You just need to send it to someone that has experience with Sachs.

Like LTRacing or Ccycle suspension. I am sure there are others.

where are you located?? you would have no problem on the sachs suspension,the gasgas bikes really do shine over the other brands when it comes to handling turning,and very easy to control motors,as with most brands you get the most out of the suspension getting a revalve for the terrain you ride..

If your looking at going new the latest bikes seem to be coming with Marzochi forks and Ohlins shocks. I can tell you the forks take a long time to break in.
