im guessin im not the only one who has wear on the rubberstrap nub that fixes to headlight pod,and/or a split plastic tab around where the nub attaches?
i removed the rubber strap, then i took a piece of thin/tie wire stiff enough to use as a 'needle' and holding it with pliers, heated the wire to redhot tip.(or 1mm drill),then pushed it vertically(90deg to tab edge) through the rubber nub itself, right where the nub would emerge on the inside of plastic tab, leaving enough wire to tie off.
if your plastic tab is intact you will have to pull wire, and thread it through after pushing the nub through tab.
then wrap the two ends outwards around the tab and outer rubber, and tie off just firm.
it seems fairly robust and cost nothing
