Help needed - EC 300 float bowl leaking

Gents,
I desperately need your help... This is my first post so it's an awkward way of presenting myself I guess Anyway, I'm new to the enduro scene and I just bought a EC 300 -10. I used to ride a lot up to my twenties but thats sadly 20 years ago...

Now for the problem: The bike is literally pissing our fuel through the float bowl hose. Indicating a stuck bowl/needle. Is this a known phenomenon? Can I give the carb a thump hoping for the best of do you suspect a partial carb teardown? How do I remove the carbs easiest? Or better yet - how do I access the carb? It's kinda limited space but I suspect that it's cleverly built so a loosen that remove this approach would do the trick. What do I need to do?

Bare with me cos when I rode last one could always figure out how it worked by looking at it.. not so obvious nowadays I fear of braking something cos I'm new to the bike..

Any input would be highly appreciated!!

Remove the fuel hose after closing the flow from the petcock.
Loosen the clamps and/or remove em, the front 2.
Remove the carb by pushing it back enough so it can be freed from the front rubber part.... etc.

But I guess you can check/adjust the float bowl and needle without removing the carb. Just remove the throttle cable and tilt it enough to work on the carbs lower part. Be carefull on those philips screws, better replace them with allen stainless ones...

I have a similar problem: a sporadic overflow from the float bowl.

Occasionally there is fuel coming from the hose. Not flowing but more like trickling. And this happens from time to time - not all the time nor even most of the time.

Obviously, the float needle gets dislocated. And then after a couple of laps on the track everything is okay again.

Any advice which component to adjust/replace?

either adjust float level and/or check that the float valve is clean and doesnt have anything stuck to it (that is the springy little valve that sits under the float tab)

Float valves need replacement from time to time. Just did a mates which was sporadic now fixed. Any pwk source for parts.

I am trying to buy a rebuild kit (genuine Keihin), and the vendor asks if my carb is equipped with a "power jet". Says that the float bowl gasket is different if the carb has/has not a power jet.

Does my carb have one?

No. It's not power jet type.

I've never changed a float gasket except in my 1969 Stinger (with a 2nd hand one) in about 1000 carb entries.
