HELP. Upper Shock Mount Bolt and Nut Needed

I have an upper shock mount bolt and nut on order....for over 2 months now , and it is still stuck in customs or some such nonsense.

I have a 2004 EC250 and was wondering if anyone had a spare mount bolt and nut they wish to part with. Your help would be greatly appreciated as my bike is still disassembled.

Thanks for your help,

Ed

Have you tried the local auto parts store?. They should have some metric bolts that would fit.

The bolt must have been rooming with my fork parts. Got mine over a week ago though. Ed, its just a high grade M8 bolt. Local shop or Mcmaster.com.

It is a flanged shoulder bolt and I couldn't find anything Mcmaster that was close. I think it was a M10. Since McMaster didn't have it I didn't even bother to look locally.

Thanks guys. I may have a lead on some 05 parts. I just need to check compatibility. With my luck the new parts will show up at the same time but at least I can get my poor bike back together. I'm dying to get back on it.

Thanks.

Ed,

Brain fart, it is an M10, but still an off the shelf part. Just get a good quality shoulder bolt, two washers, and a nyloc nut and your fine. You can swap the OEM bolt in later.

Have you tried Smiths Powersports or Hall's ? Also, this is something that likely crosses over to other bikes. A KX/KXF would be my first try.

I have two M10 flange heads in my stock, but they are longer. I could cut to length, run a die up the shoulder, and send you one. Give me the dimensions as I have my bike together now. I really don't think its necessary though.

Thank Glenn, I'm all set now. I have a used bolt coming from Scott at Moto Connection and my new one should be coming soon from GasGas Unlimited.

FWIW, Smiths Powersports has been fantastic. I haven't needed a lot of parts, but what I did need they had in stock, even some small but less common stuff.
