Hi, I'm new around here.

Gidday, I'm new to the forums and the Gasser world.

I live in NZ and have cruised these forums for a while now, but thought its time to join up!

I have ridden Motorcross for years with various brands and sizes etc.. most recently a CRF450R, but I got sick of sore arms and replacing valves ;) So now I have a EC200 and I love it.

I have a 11yr old son who is learning on a TTR125 big wheel and we do mainly trail and mountain riding. I'm trying to upskill with a bit of cross-training to maybe try some Enduro races....when I find some time outside of work and kids!!!

If I'm not working or running around after kids, I'm on my dirt bike, running, skiing... or on my PS4/Xbox1 (If the wifes not looking:p)

Anyway, wanted to say Hi fellow Gassers.

Welcome to the forum.Quite a change from a CRF450!
Had a 2010 ec300 ,still think it was the best looking year.

Welcome.
Coming from mx you will know how to corner, living in NZ means it is easy to get on a Chris birch training day to learn everything else

Been watching a fair few of Birchys and some aussie Enduro dude vids on YouTube. I am enjoying the change of pace from MX, instead of being pinned in 4th the whole time, its more a battle against yourself and the terrain. Would love to get my 'wheelie and rear brake control' mastered for those long, slow 'Jarvis' wheelies. Dreams are free I guess.:D

That's a bit freaky, I'm on an ec200 and my 11 yr old son is at me for a ttr125. You're probably as glad as i am that Richie retired. Will the coincidences never end.

Welcome

You will find that this place is great source for information and some good laughs at times.

Welcome!
Glad you joined us! Dirt bike riding is a fantastic family sport that transcends age.

Welcome! The 200 is a good choice in my opinion

I have two (2006 and 2015) and my eldest son has one (2011).

We (this forum that is) will try to answer any question you might have.

Greetings from the other side of the globe (Norway).

Welcome I also have a 200 and my son is 11, we trail ride and have fun.

Join the 200 club so we can share information.

Welcome man!

Have an '11 200 and two boys; ages 4 & 6. Our 6 year old just (literally this past weekend) migrated to a TTR50 after 2+ years on his Oset. Can't wait until he's a bit older and can hit some trails with me. Still waiting on our 4 year old - bike bug hasn't bitten him yet...lol.

Never visited NZ, but I bet the riding there is awesome?

Congrats on your bike, post up your impressions when you feel like it :D

Another 200 in the club!and a kiwi to boot!welcome
Where in nz?im in canterbury with a 13 200,a 12yr old on a drz125,and a 9yr on a pw80.

liv2day the riding is awesome but not much free public access to land.heaps of organised trailrides ($40-50)though which typically consist of 30-40km loops with enduro deviations and typically pull 150-300 riders.im lucky enough to have access to 1200ha of coastal hills on my doorstep.good thing about nz you only travel an hour or two and the scenery/terrain changes so plenty of variety within reach

Thanks all for the warm welcome everyone. Cool to see some other Kiwis on the forums too.

^I'm in Canterbury too, got family with Hill Country farms so its a short trip to make some noise in the hills.
