Ideal squishband gap on 04 ec300?

Yup, that's why I ask for 'ideal gap'. So as I can determine what gasket set would get me to spec..

Non-modified head was specified, as there may be an inherent limit with OEM
head specs.? Not good if the gap is right, but the compression gets bumped to hard.

No you dont understand. Ideal is specific to each head, even non modified. The tolerences are enough to throw off a squish band mod. You have to do the solder test, skipping that could make the difference of needing mixed race gas instead of just pump gas.

Can I get in on this?

Im about to reinstall my head and the shop i bought all my stuff from gave me the O-ring gaskets. I sorta understand what you are referring to. Am I to just use the askets i was given or is there a procedure i need to go through first?

It's usually .58-.55, but you have to find out what the concesus is, I am not sure for gas gas, just yamaha, and you have ti do the solder test on your specific head to know how much needs to be turned.

If you are just replacing or reinstalling an un-cut head, then slap it together. The o-rings will always be the same. If you have the cylinder off, you can use the same base gasket/s based on color. However, the solder test is a good idea to be sure your OK..
