Talked with Ethan at IMS, he is going to look into a shifter for our GasGas's. I'll post any updates if I hear something.

I will be sending him this post link.

Who is interested in a larger gas tank for 2012+ models?
What size would you like, I mentioned how I would like a Desert tank is there any interest in this from this group?

How about Brake levers?

They seem to want to work with us so post up what you would like to see.

I would say a tank that is 12.5 gallons like the size of the Clarke's or the older IMS tanks, that's a good size for XC racing and trail riding. It would be nice if they could make 2 sizes, a desert and the 12.5 gallon.

Of course you mean 12.5 L....
I'd take one too...

HAHAHA, oops, that would be a little extra weight to pack

I was like wow 12.5 Gallons that is almost twice my 6.5 Gallon on the xr650r...lol I would be happy with 5 gallon tank that has shrouds....that way all day on trails would be easy (or the huge loops I do).

I have a single track loop in Silverton that is 98 miles by the time you connect it to the campground and what not by road. KTM seems to have large tanks for everything (all your needs).

Okay, they don't have one that fits. But I was told they pass my email and this thread onto those that decide on products. As I told them the first that makes one will have our business which is pretty much the truth...and this is not bashing of HammerHead I as a consumer just want a beefier shifter and the company that makes one first logically will be ahead of any competition.

I'd buy a shifter ASAP. Hammerhead is very strong, but still aluminum so the tips and pivot area wear out. A classic IMS steel shifter would be fine, I'll suffer with the weight.:D Brake pedal would be nice too, and while they are at it they could design in a releif on the bottom so it clears the frame better. The stocker is also stupid $$ to replace.

Holding breath.....turning blue.......passing out, whew! Couldn't do it!

I have come to face the fact that until GasGas has a larger showing in the U.S. we are on our own.

So how many do they have to sell to make this possible? The tooling for the splines is the expensive part from what I'm told. I would bet they have a shifter that is close in bend already.
