Is the Renthal Bar Model on my 2022 Ranger the 997?

I bought a set of Acerbis X Factory Handguards for my Ranger. I intended to run a tap into the end of the bar and install an insert. I have done this on my other bikes using a 5/8 inch tap. Well, the renthal stock bar ends are a lot smaller than the 5/8 inch tap. I have another smaller Bosch tap,12.5 to 13.00mm that fits and cuts fine but I need an insert to accommodate the smaller handguard mounts. No one seems offer any inserts or kit for these twinwall renthals. Any ideas? Also, are renthals twinwall and Renthal fat bars the same?

Ok, let’s simply this, what model are the stock Rieju Ranger handlebars? I assumed they are Renthal twinwall, is that correct? None of the inserts that I can find will fit inside the tub ends? I have tried Cycra, G2 etc, all of the inserts are too big.Any ideas.

Do you have access to a lathe? I this case, I would just have turned a pair of suitable inserts myself, not botherering with the threading.
Another idea would be to buy a bolt that fits the threads you have cut, and perhaps drill out the hole in the handguard to suit, if there is enough material.

At the Rieju homepage, they state that the Ranger handlebar is a "double diameter" bar. If it was a Renthal, I guess they would have bragged about it. A Renthal Twinwall usually has a crossbar. It can be removed, but if the bike was sold as it looks at the pictures, my suggestion is that this is not a Renthal Twinwall.

I have bolts that fit the threads but the handguard holes are too small and there isn’t enough material to drill them out. I think I will use a 14mm bit and try to use the G2 inserts. I think that will work. You would think that Rieju would sell a closed set of guards/inserts for the stock Ranger bars.

can't you just get some rawl bolts (anchor bolts) to fit in there? I found them much better than stock handguard bolts and less effort than threading the bars
