anyone ever put and 07 and up kickstand/bracket on an older bike like my 01 300 ? the angle of the later kickstand looks more stable than mine.. i am always concerned leaving mine on the kickstand.. it just looks like it is gonna fall at any moment...
just wondering..

if you pick one up cheap then u can always modify it to fit. if ur just thinking about how the leg sits maybe they will bolt into the old bracket?

dont know... have just been looking at bikes and the newer kickstands and mounts look different...
iirc the cast kickstand on the 2000 i had was more stable also...
mine may be bent wierd also.. when it is up it is on the outside of the rear number plate, so i know that is wrong....

Just to add some info that you may already know. I had a guy comment that my (06) kickstand which looks/angled like yours had a different mount that his 02 had.

hmmm. a buddy has an 02 and that is the only other gg i know of here..
need to look at it...
something on mine is not exactly correct... just not sure what..

I bought a used one from a forum member for my 07. The bracket looks like the one pictured on the 09 but the actual stand part looks like yours. The bracket bolted right on and it folded up behind my # plate but hit the airbox pretty hard, and was afraid it may crack it. So i mabe a little bumper and put it on the airbox where it was making contact. Worked great right up untill the single spring broke. I have since purchased the double spring as seen in the pic of the 09, but have not remounted it.

Johnny.
At the top bolt on point, there's a spacer that goes between the kick stand mount and the frame.
That positions the kick stand away from the air box.
