Hi, I am a Detective with the Iredell County Sheriff?s Office in Statesville NC. This is a heads up for everyone, and a request for any assistance. On the evening of Wednesday, February 19th 2014, unknown suspect(s) stole the following bikes from Carolina KTM of Mooresville, NC.

2014 KTM 200XCW
2014 KTM 250SX
2014 KTM 300XCW
2014 KTM 350 XCFW
2014 690 DUKE
2014 690 ENDURO

These bikes are new. If you come across anyone attempting to sell similar bikes, and you are inclined to think that things may be suspicious, please feel free to forward any information to me here on this forum.
This type of crime hurts not only the original victim, but potentially anyone who may later unwittingly buy a stolen bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hope to update in the morning after getting back to the office. All VINs involved should be entered in national database. Just wanted to kick out what info I had available after hours. Thanks for looking.

I'm sure I mentioned this in connection with a different break in but be sure to get this information to a 4 wheeler/ utv forum. They do a lot more engine swaps, custom/modified frame work ( KTM engine in a Honda chassis...). It also would be good to inform the flat track crowd as well.

I posted on KTMTALK for you

Thanks, I posted in the regional forums there as I don't know how they do things over there. Keep spreading it if you guys could.

I hope you catch the scumbags and they don't get off with a slap on the wrist. Friggin' thieves royally piss me off.

I'll keep an eye on craigslist out here, though I doubt they're savvy enough to post so far away.

One suggestion is to keep an eye on this site: www.bikefinds.com. This site tracks craigslist and ebay ads for various dirt bikes...could help in finding the bikes if they list in areas outside of NC.

Good luck and keep us posted if you will...I'd like to see them fitted with concrete shoes and sent swimming.

the hype from dirt rag has taken over on these orange fumpkins so that they are now 'must have' at any cost even risking jail time !!

KTM Stolen Bikes

I sent you a P M on this but Noticed a member had already posted something about it on KTM Talk. Thanks for the info and I will keep my ears to the ground as well. We suffered thru a theft something like this about three years ago Two bike were used and one only 6 months and a trailer as well. The trailer was found 4 months later in another state but the bikes never came up that we heard about at least. Thanks for you Hard work!
