KYB fork springs?

I have a set of new fork springs for my 06'kx450f that i never installed. I read that these could be used, on the newer forks. Is this true? Has anybody done this?

I figure once i get a bike and start riding, if the forks aren't right for me, I have these that were for my weight.

The KYB springs typically are the correct diameter - you just have to adjust for the proper preload. Marzocchi makes this possible with a 4-position (internally adjustable) spring seat.
