Leaking from engine to exhaust part

Executioner

New member
Hi, i'm new to the forum and new to the world of Gas Gas.
Last week i bought a EC 250 ('07) and everything is ok except that he makes allot of noise when decelerating or not applying throttle at all .

I think it's because of the leak in the image below, or is this normal ?

Any help is appreciated.

ok, but it's just that the bolts are hard to reach but i'll try
thx for the help guys

No, don't try for the bolts that hold the exhaust spigot to the head.
The exhaust spigot stays on the bike. Pull the springs off that hold the pipe to the spigot. Then follow the pipe back and remove the bolts that hold the pipe to the frame. You might need to remove the silencer (the rear section of the exhaust) before you can remove the pipe (the front section of the exhaust).

If you have the silencer off, you might want to see how spooged up the silencer packing is. It is good practice to repack the silencer now and then.
