left side rad for 2010 WTB

I had a 450 rad modded for my ec250. Other than modding the 2 upper spigots it was a direct bolt on. I just had a set left over from a part out so decided to use them. So don't be shy if if you find some 450 rads. They are far superior to the new ones.

The guys over on cafehusky have been having good luck with some chinese hand welded rads that are priced cheap.

The pre '07 rads were made by KTM and a lot stronger. The Behr rads used since bend way too easy, and need a good brace system. Particularly ridiculous is the stock '12 shrouds mounting directly to them.

What braces/guards do you use?

I use the scorpion braces, I just repaired that this morning it was pretty funny how it twisted with the rad, god help me if it wasn't there though

Wow. Frontal impact that twisted the whole assy back from the frame then? Thats why its nice to tie the rear of the brace to the frame somewhere back as far as possible, but its a custom job then. I did this on my '07. Really no matter what you add to the sides there are only two M6 bolts holding everything to the frame.

That's one thing that's not so great about winter riding is I find every weekend I'm placing an order for more parts. If you wanna go fast it's just so unpredictable. I broke some small bones in my ankle and knocked myself out over the Christmas holidays because my rear brake froze up fly up the top of a hill and couldn't stop! Can get a little rediculous at times

Maybe you should chill out with some of that good Canadian beer. I went out several times with knobbys. Last time about 2" snow, slid into a stump and turned my foot blue. I'm saving myself for racing season.
