Lowering Rear Brake Pedal Height?

Is there anyway to lower the rear brake pedal more? I have mine all the way down and it's still 1/4 higher than my pedal. Plus in this position there is very little free play and the brake is like a light switch. I am used to running my pedals much lower and have never had an issue setting them up, until this bike.

If you cut the the threaded adjustment rod and shorten it, will this help move the pedal down and still give you adequate free play? Any thoughts?

Thanks

i just took my rear clevis off and used a hack saw and cut another 3/8 off. this will allow you to lower it quite a bit more!

yes i cut the threaded rod, you dont even have to take it off just chop a little piece of with it still on. much better adjustability now

Let me know how it works out for you 2whls, then I`ll do mine.

Yep, that's the ticket. I just took the pedal off and left the rod attached to the reservoir and used a dremel and cutoff wheel. I took off 3/8" and need to test ride to see where I'm at.

On a side note, I remembered my Honda has Nissin brakes and started comparing the two. Calipers look very similar, but are not identical the castings are slightly different. I didn't have the height issue with my Honda and the systems are mechanically the same. The difference is the Honda has a longer cage to the clevis and therefore more adjustability. Also the Honda has more free play in the clevis, but this could just be from wear.
