May Be Getting a GG But I Have Some Questions

Hey guys I may be trading my 2005 YFZ450 for a 2004 GasGas Wild HP 300. I'm fairly impressed at the seemingly good design and quality of them but I need to know some things. Please answer them honestly and any help is appreciated. What are the main problems with them? Is the steering and ride really as rough as people say? Are parts hard to get in the US besides from GoFasters? And also, what other parts fit the Wild HP. Like for example, the chassis is somewhat similar to the 400EX so will long travel 400 shocks fit the GasGas? I've done my homework on it and they seem decent but how are they for MX? That is all I will be doing with it so suspension and handling are VERY important. Thanks again, Paul.

not a lot of quad owners on here... hope you get some answers..

i have never even seen one in person..

Oh alright. Do you guys know any sites where there are some quad riders? And no PEB I'm a quad man but I do love bikes. I've been looking at brand new RMZ250's at the dealership but I'm going to stick with quads. Thanks guys.

atvriders.com is your best bet but there wont be much info on there about gas gas quads either. I recently converted to bikes after many years of GNCC quad racing. Dont get rid of your yfz in favor of a GG Wild. You will have zero resale value and very few options for suspension as compared to your yfz. They are nice and a real novelty but dont do it.....you will regret it in the long run.

Buy a new YFZ. Tons more parts and set up for what you are doing.

I have had two GG's and I have wanted a Wild. I have had a few quads and love them too. You just can't find enough cheap parts to keep a wild as a real race quad. Who you gonna find to help with the suspension...which is key with a quad?

Part of me would love to have one as well, but if you HAVE TO HAVE a 2 stroke I would go with the 400ex's retro'd to a 250r motor. Service honda put some out there and that would be the best of both IMO.

Hope that helps.

X2 on that. Either frame up build on an older TRX250R or a retro'd 400 like forgiven suggested.
