Moose Skid Plate Problem

I just bought a new Moose skid plate for my 05 GasGas EC250. It doesn't seem to fit very well, the rear clamp won't reach no matter where I put it and the drain hole doesn't line up. I asked the dealer I bought it from about it and he confirmed it was the right part number for my bike. He said they might send it back if it where in the original packaging but I would have to pay for shipping:( I tried to contact Moose but haven't got an answer from them yet (more than week later). Anyone have a problem with this skid plate/company? With some drilling and cutting I could make it work but after paying that much for it should I have to modify it?

I have a Moose plate on my '04. It fits reasonably well and bolted right on. I did lengthen the slot on the rear the next time I had it off but it wasn't neccessary to get it to mount.

Moose is Parts Unlimited and you shouldn't have any problems with customer service. It also sounds like your dealer isn't doing his job.

The Moose plate was junk for me. Disapearedthe first ride, dont even know when it left the bike. The Mecasystem is the only one that has held up.

No doubt that the Mecasystem seems to be the best plate out there and the CRD (made out of tin foil) is the worst. I'm guessing the Moose is in the middle of the pack.

I've got a Moose on my 04 300. It fit OK, and has been fine for the 455+ miles so far. We have nasty rocky conditions, but I don't pound me or the bike that hard.
It looks like the 3 mounting holes on the Moose plate will match the 07 FSR mounting tabs.
