Make sure it is jetted correctly first, then move to setting the squish. Cheap and easy you can add a coupled degrees of ignition timing.

Did you have to rejet for the new pipe?

We'll I have an aftermarket silencer, so I changed my jetting prior to the Gnarly. Although, I did not have to change my jetting from installing the Gnarly itself. It seems a little lean at the top, but it has been a cold spring here and I think that is more due to the unusually cold weather. Probably will be fine once it warms up a little. It is nothing to be concerned about.

You should be OK, worst case you may need to raise the needle a clip.

A different needle from stock will give you a more usable bottom to mid for cheap $.
Not more bottom, but more usable.the stock needle tends to burble then hit,on/off.you can get a smoother progression with a $15 needle swap.
To do this you need to know what needle/jet combo you have now

Definitely start with jetting. That made a big difference for my bike as well as a flywheel weight. Pulls like a tractor now.

I found getting the jetting right, changing the silencer made the biggest difference for me. I have a Gnarly on the bike now with the HOP silencer and it works well. I had a HOP pipe but crushed it. To tell you the whole truth if I could find a straight stock pipe at a reasonable price I would probably put that on. So modify as per another thread somewhere here or put on aftermarket silencer on it. The Leo Vance is nice if you can find one.
