Motion Pro 10-0146 Throttle Cable

Motion Pro has their 10-0146 cable listed as fitting my '05. I have read here that their regular cable is too short in the past. Is this still the case? Mine is starting to fray and I need a new one asap.

Well, I have read of some saying even the stock cable was too short. Really wanted to know about this cable as I'm sure it is half the cost of the OEM one.

I have to admit I'm perplexed. I figured being on the GG riders forum there would be a wealth of knowledge on here for just a simple thing. Or is no one helping because people think I haven't used the search trying to answer this question on my own? I can assure everyone, I did look. Hmm.

They list it as a replacement for stock, it should be fine.

When I purchased a new genuine one, it was comparatively priced with other brands genuine cables.

If you're that worried about it not fitting, just get the genuine. Worst case is you're a few bucks worse off, but if the MP one is not quite right, then you'll have to buy something else anyway, which costs time and money.

They also show a 50mm longer replacement, as well. Even says ignore KTM installation instructions

Its also a really nice cable, the captive ends are brilliant. Better than stock in pretty much every way. A bit pricier than a standard cable though.

The 10-3000 cable is very nice! The only down side I have seen is that it does not have the bent connector at the carb end and it does not fit as well with oversized gas tanks. From my experience it works great with stock tanks on the older bikes.

Thanks gentleman. Seems as though no one has actually tried this particular cable. Yeah, I figured the 10-3000 probably wasn't the best choice since I have an IMS oversized tank.
