my ec300 overheated

when i was out the other day the revs on my bike started going up & down & didn't sound to good .

i checked the coolant & couldn't see any , i've fell off a few times so i think its prob lost coolant when its been on its side .

when i got home it was 20 mins before i could touch the head !

after it cooled down i put coolant in it & started it up & the bike sounds exactly the way it usually does .

would i be right in thinking if it sounds ok theres prob been no damage done in the engine ?

No way to know without pulling the head and cylinder. If it were my bike I'd just keep riding. Mine pukes every time I ride it. Needs radiators and a stouter cap.

i've not been on for age's , it turned out to be a small hole in the radiator !
i got the hole fixed & the bike is fine again .
