DE is the US Dealer Edition of the EC. It basically has a lighter ignition and limited wiring harness.

I called them about a month ago and tried to put a deal together. but with the shipping charges from east to west coast,crateing charges,exchange from canadian pesos to usa$,and the shop's shipping charges-alas a de 300 didn't fit with my number crunching. so by thurs evening i should take possesion of a very lightly used canadian/euro spec 04 ec 300. i can't wait for my new ride!! my 01 ec300 has been so rock solid reliable and such a sweet ride that I fear any bike will have a tough time(even a newer GG) living up to it's predissesor.
