I've traditionally run an x-ring chain with an aluminium rear sprocket and steel front, and always replaced the whole thing as a set.
I'm now running a rear sprocket with steel teeth. The chain (x-ring) has stretched to the end of the adjusters, but the sprocket teeth are not hooked, and they look in good shape. Is it worth it to only replace the chain at this point?
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jason
