Greeting from Texas; I am a former (2002 Gas Gas 300) owner. My current bike is an "orange" 09 300XCW. I like to tinker with tech info and looked at the 2011 Gas Gas 250/300 manual and input the transmission ratios. Comparing the Gasser to the KTM, it looks like the XC ratios are close to the Gas Gas ratios. I have it in an Excel spreadsheet if anyone want to view it. (also have the 5 and 6 speed 250/300 KTM spreadsheets)
The 2012 Gas Gas looks like it could be the next bike for me.
On the jetting side, the Suzuki NECJ needle in clip 2, 38 pilot, and 160 main are working good on my 300 at 800' elevation/temp 55-80F.
