newer head on 98 cylinder

I'm wanting to get a head squished on my 98 250 however I contacted RB designs who told me they cannot do the mod with an offcentred spark plug hole.

my question is will a newer head fit my cylinder, i realise that the water in/outlet is different

I am not sure about the exact cross over details but as I recall the 1998 uses a different gas tank that may cause a clearance issue and there is some difference in the coolant fitting on the top of the head.

FYI - Eric Gorr (Forward Motion) modified a 1998 EC250 head for me in the past.

You will need a new cylinder. 97/98 heads will not fit on later cylinders.
