I called Slavens racing for a Revloc Dynaring clutch for my 2011 EC300 on Thursday. He said he had 2 in stock and would ship it out ASAP. Well, he called me today and said he had none. Revloc is not making anymore either. I am bummed!! Don't want to spend $900 for a Rekluse. I better get my left broken wrist back in shape ASAP!!!

Call Gary at EFM. No listing for Gas Gas, but no listing for Husky either and he makes them. Some Husky buds and I have been using EFM's on 2 and 4 stroke Huskys since '05. They are easier to set up than Rekluse and have always had full clutch lever control. You have to send your clutch basket to be machined.

They need to add another class to races,

The "no pussy auto clutches needed" class....

Really!! I broke my left wrist 5 weeks ago. i have 7 screws and a plate in it. I broke it at the Upton National Enduro. I guess that makes me a pussy!!

I forgot to say that electric starters ARE allowed in my new class......Ha!

Relax, I know about your injury. The Handicapped get a free pass. LOL. Just screwing with the automated bunch. I used a few auto clutches (EFM worked the best for me, Rekluse was bitch to keep dialed in)when they first came out. They are awesome. Especially with effed up left hands/wrists. Gave them up in 2005, haven't really missed it either. I also gave up steering dampers in 05 too. Haven't really missed those either. Funny, it was my purchase of an 05 EC250 that made me realize that neither of those expensive items were necessary. Finished the 07 NEPG series 3rd in B VET without either alleged "must have" auto clutch or steering dampner.

Agreed! I too gave up on the auto clutch and the stabilizer. I get where your coming from. Maybe we are just slightly retarded. For me 3/4 of the fun of riding is not being able to make a difficult section and I find the throttle/clutch control challenge the best part.

Although the 2strokes are easy to kick, the electic start does seems like a good feature.

This is awesome! I can stop lusting after a steering damper?

The Rekluse I used years ago was very helpful in technical Idaho singletrack. A KTM200 makes an awesome Rupp mini bike!:D

I only really wish I had the autoclutch after I screw up somewhere. The rest of the time...
I dunno...
gas and clutch - I live for that.

The magic button might well be worth the weight penalty. It would have saved one race for me. Autoclutch would have saved the same race. I think I posted that story here when I first showed up spamming the Stimilon race. I'm really glad I stuck around, BTW.

Blanco - only us older guys who smoke at the gas stops need an auto clutch!:D

Ha! My man Roger! We have to hook up for the F1 race in Austin! Maybe this fall we can go ride?

My XC-W came with a rekluse pro - it's ok, but I won't be getting another one (PDS KTM or autoclutch). Now, the Scotts steering damper has saved my bacon more than a few times and any bike I own will have one.

Chris,

Where are you riding these days? Greg and I are looking for a road trip in the southerly direction, summer heat or not.

Dave

Hey Dave,
Been riding at Forest Hill and Ft. Polk. Come on down. Would love to have you. No rocks!!! You know I'll feed you good. I have a big ass 40ft Rv now, so we could camp. We are building a 70 mile all singletrack 2 wheel only trail system at Breezy Hill. It is closed right now until we finish. Probably another year. I plan on heading up to Ark in the fall. I just started riding again regulary in late June.

Email me and let's set something up.

Yeah, I hit the Rockies twice last year but going to miss this year. Going next summer though. Been riding a lot lately. Hit it hard yesterday. I let the 450 eat! Starting back racing now. LACC and SERA. Maybe TSCEC next year.

the plot thickens

This may be old news here also, but I did not know this was all about patents and lawyers.

Poached from RMD:

"
>Revloc is no longer making/selling clutches - evidently lost a patent
>dispute and is now out of business.

Old news around here...

On October 3, 2007 Drussel Wilfley Design, LLC (Revloc) filed suit
against Al Youngwerth and Rekluse for "Patent Infringement".

Counter suits were filed, probably lots-o-money was wasted on
attorneys. Ultimately the original suite was dismissed "with
prejudice" on July 6, 2011.

Plaintiff: Drussel Wilfley Design, LLC
Defendants: Albert J. Youngwerth, Rekluse Motor Sports, Inc. and
Eagle Motor Works, Inc.

>Apparently, Slavens Racing is selling off the old Dynaring stock, so
>if you were thinking of getting one, better step on it.

Or buy a Rekluse and have confidence in the fact you will be able to
buy parts and have service/support for the foreseeable future...

too bad there's no simple rekluse for gasgas, like the dynaring or the cheaper rekluse

only option is the full core setup, almost 900 $ and way too complicated compared to the

this also screws owners of older bikes that rekluse is too good to support, ie xr400's and kdx200's

Found a used dynaring on this site for $250. Installed it on my 11 300 and had my first ride/race on it Sunday. So far I like it. I have rekluse on my Husky Wr 300 and actually prefer the dynaring. The dynaring let's you know your in the wrong gear and wont let you be lazy. The rekluse will let you ride all day in the wrong gear. To bad revloc shut down.
