Nor. Cal Sawmill D-36 Enduro

What class were thining? Sounds like a good time....it could be dusty, but if we get some rain this weekend...should be nice. Looks like you don't need a AMA card for that event, just a Hollister club card?

I gotta start sometime....to tell you the truth, the last time I rode was in Mexico, and that was for one day. This enduro is not a time keeper, only 70 ground miles with a pit at 33 miles or so....with the recent rains, should be NO DUST! All Velcro baby:D

B-2 or C-2. I've never ridden upper park where it is being held but I'm thinking it won't be too technical. I haven't found anything in HH that I had much trouble on and I've been given the full tour of the "goods". So it's more of a question do I think I can last 1.5 hours or not. Or if I think I'll be quick enough on the fast sections, I only recently picked up the speed on the fire roads/double track. Yea no AMA cards or anything just the HHORA membership. I hear the HHORA races are good starters cause most of the fast guys are at the d36 races...less pressure.

I'm thinking maybe later in the season I'll try a d36 family enduro.

I've raced HH a few times at D-36 cross counrty events, the upper ranch....there is some very cool single track if they use the good stuff. The stuff through the oak tress can be very good as well. We used part of the motocross GP track, as well. There is a big a$$ drop, like "Gravity Cavity" that is alot of fun.

Beware of sandbaggers:rolleyes: being that the D-36 Cross Country has taken a week off, there could be a big turn out....

Yes it should a great race! I wish it was a timekeeper but that is the way it goes, These guys always put on a great race!! See you there!

MikeH,

Looking at the weather for the weekend, looks like a wet race on Sunday.

This event was a last minute deal, I did not pre-enter, so I'll be way.....back in the pack.

Hey Rick What class do you run? I am still in the C- senior Can't seem to move up for some crazy reason but feel i can ride anything. I will also be in the back too I will look for you.. I will be signing up in the morning of the race.

I was moved up last year 2008/2009 from C to B, doing the Cross Country Series. It was alot of fun.....well worth it!

I am going to try to run the entire enduro series this year....we'll see how that goes. I will be in the B Senior, row....way back in the pack.

All right!! Well hopefully will see you after the race, There is another guy, Jeff that comes from Nevada and he rides a blue EC 300 GG. Good Luck..

I did a quick weather check last night, still no rain down here in the valley. 3am came pretty quick, finished packing and hit the road. I had a 3 hour drive ahead of me. I was about half way and it started to drizzle, the closer I got to Lakeport, the harder it started to rain. I found my way to the check in area, and it was coming down pretty good. I met up with MikeH and his riding buddy. After a quick, "hello" I made my way to the sign up area, just was I was about to sign up....they called the race....to much rain.

Ohhhh well, another day. A quick walk back to the truck, talked to Mike for a few and headed home.

At least i don't have to wash my bike:D ....it was looking to be a true mudder!!!

Nice meeting you Mike and your freind. We'll hook up another day.

Hey Rick good meeting you too! hope we can meet up some time and ride we are thinking about going back this saturday to cow mtn and make a day of it, let me know if you are intrested. We got 2.5 inches of rain it really came down..

Hi Guys-

I rode the Crosscut on Saturday and had fun. Too bad you got rained out !

Maybe we'll ride it on May 1 ?

Jeff
2001 Blue EC300

(BTW- Mike, I took the two shims out from behind the powervalve spring ,
and it made it smoother from right off idle. That and the CCK needle work
for me really well)

MikeH,

Not sure if I'll be able to make the 1 May race.....If all works out, I'll be up in the PNW riding w/ Roostafish.

Jefgil123.....I'm sure Saturday was much better, it was flat out raining on Sunday and would have made for some tough trails.

Change Gears:

We really need to look at getting the NorCal / Nevada GasGas riders together for a weekend of riding and bench racing. What do you guys think? If that sounds do-able we could start a new thread.

I think that would be a great idea.
