So I find with myself with a pretty good oil leak. Enough that all under the carb, linkage and towards the sprocket got coated with oil before I noticed the issue.
I cleaned up all the oil and took a quick rip up and down the driveway and could identify where it is coming from.

Rusty dowl pin near water pump:
I checked the torque on all the bolts and they were actually tighter than spec.
I can't quite figure out the reason for the leak as the gasket looked fine in this area.
One thought is that the case took a hit and got put in a bind possibly due to the rusty pin. Seems far fetched. Thoughts?
