Oil light

Hi
I have just picked up a 450 pampera and just found that the engine oil light won't go out
Was fine when I test rode it but after I got it home and took it off the trailer and started it the light won't go out
Looks like it has plenty of oil and previous owner said he has never had this problem
Is there a sensor I can get checked out or any other ideas

The oil pressure sensor is located on the rear right on the cylinder head.

More than likey the fault is in the speedo unit.If any moisture gets in there,strange things happen.On mine the oil light and highbeam light come now and then.Also the unit will start up and flash with the key off.
Once water gets in they're doomed.
