Oldest mousse on the planet..

Not sure how long these things normally last but I've just swapped a 2006 100/100-18 Michelin mousse which has done approx 5000km so far into a new 120/90 Mitas C12 tyre. Granted it is a bit small so I split and wrapped an old tube around it. Absolutely superb in the woods, almost felt like I had a track on the back!

Not sure how you maintain yours but I ditch the rim tape and replace it with a tubeless trials one followed by several layers of gaffer tape. Then I bolt in a car type valve so you can pop the tyre up onto the rim with the air line. I also add loads of silicone grease and redo the above every 15-20hrs.

An alloy rim lock is a must so it does not chew the mousse.

See ya
