Once a motorhead....

Well I sent my Ohlins forks and shock off to LTR to get re-valved and sprung for my weight. I bought new high rise bars made by Renthal and offset lower pegs to help fit the bike to my height. Add that to the new gear since I had none as I'm just getting back into riding. Now I'm wondering if this old bike of mine is worth throwing all that coin at it. I do realize that if I bought a new bike I would have to do the same thing but at least my money pit would shine. I can somewhat justify it by thinking I can transfer some of these parts to a newer model someday. Don't get me wrong, I'm no pilgrim when it comes to motor sports and spending money, this is actually much less expensive than drag racing cars, a sport that I did for many years between the motocross days of my youth and now. I knew that when I sold my auto shop that someday when the burnout of working 12 to 16 hours a day in my own business had faded away some kind of mechanical thing would draw me back and here it is. If it's in your blood once a motorhead always a motorhead.

Doug,
I think you should buy a new bike.
Clay

Clay,
I probably will because I want two bikes so my son can ride with me. I'm currently shopping for a trials bike and then I'll be after another enduro. I'm wondering why you think I should get a new one?

Because we are bringing in 300+ new Gas Gas in the nextfew months and I need you to buy one of them! :)

The deal to be had on a 2010 XC300.....:D
That's where I'd put your money. New bike + Les do'n his thing...how can you go wrong.
Although..... a new 2011 XC300 with a magic button sounds awful tempting.
Clay I think you should sell Doug one of each and a new TXT to boot.:D

JMHO.

And I drink Yuengling of course,, the brewery is 40 minutes from here..

Cruiser,
You work cheap! I'm willing to upgrade you to something premium like Budweiser!
Doug is correct about something getting deep. I'm not sure if it's beer though! :)
Clay

You know whats funny, my wife went to Scranton University and Yuengling was the cheap local stuff they drank that gave them the s#$%s until they got used to it. It has since been marketed into a microbrew, go figure.

Budweiser, lets see. Brewed in Newark with water from my area, where we ride and take pee breaks often.

One thing you can say about Bud is that no matter where in the world you are, when you order a Bud you know exactly what it will taste like. They do a great job maintaining consistent quality control around the world, which is no small achievement.

Seriously though Yuengling is pretty good now, but I hate Bud and always have. I prefer the stuff from Scotty's side of the border.

Now that's a whole new story....:D

My brother in Law drinks bud,, but he is from Ga,, sorry to those in Ga.. I'm sure your not all like him.. The cheap Yuengling that would get people "flowing" was the "premium" its still cheap.. about $8 a case.. and just like the lesser beers, old Milwaukee and such its the "natural preservative that they use that gets the morning after flow going. The Lager is a decent beer and has been, the lord chesterfield is also good. They are a micro by todays standards as they produce very small #'s compared to the big guys.. They produce less a year than bud does a week.. probably a day..But if your going to buy molsen I'll have to let you..
