Check the water pump impeller make sure that it is not melted. Engine Ice and check your jetting make sure your not too lean. Once I did these things I have not had any issues with overheating,

Where are you at, location?
I ride in 100F, it's hard to overheat these bikes.

I agree it's almost impossible to overheat these bikes.
1- jetting too lean.
2- no coolant flow. ( stuck thermostat, water pump impeller)
3- wrong coolant (60% distilled water 40% antifreeze)
4- radiator cap not holding pressure.

What's the best way to drain the radiator? Which hose to disconnect to properly drain it and flush it? Thanks.

On the water pump cover you will see an oddly placed bolt this is the drain hole. Remove the bolt with the radiator cap on and then when your container is ready open the radiator and it will SHOOT out. Fill the system with 50/50 mix of spirit vinegar and filtered/distiller water and run it to operating temp. Drain again and flush with water then add your coolant

It is not easy to boil these bikes because the radiator are so unrestricted but if you ride v long v tech sections where it will boil you can get a fan kit from GG (I used one from the trials bike - fan rectifier and a handlebar switch)

There is a problem with the cap seal surface on these bikes. Once it reaches release pressure it will stay open and boil out the water. Try a dab of water resistant grease on the rubber seal lip. Cured it on mine.

You can also order a higher bar cap rating, I'm running a 1.8 cap
