Parts

Go to the home page, click the link listed as "dealers" start with the ones closest to you and CALL THEM one at a time until you get one that stocks parts. Parts dont fall out of the sky you must do some leg work.

We really need a sticky on finding parts for the new guys this is really old

I think what "on2wheels4ever" is asking...Are there shortages of parts for new bikes yet? Or at least that's what I'm reading. If so, sir I do know the starter ring gear is on B/O, without any ETA from the factory, according to Mark when I spoke to him last.

Since that conversation, I have asked from several people to send me a failed / damaged ring gear, then I would see at what cost the part could be manufactured and sourced out here in the U.S. but so far...the UPS and Fed Ex trucks keep driving by without stopping. BTW, getting this part turned out isn't a problem, but rather putting together a large enough order to get a reasonable cost PLUS getting them "hardened" is the issue. If anyone of you have a resource, by all means give us a "shout out". Drop me a PM here, or give me a call 270-403-8303 during normal business hours, EST.

Back on point....If ?on2wheels4ever? is simply looking for a parts source, that question has been asked and answered several times already. While I cannot endorse just one particular dealer on a public forum, I might suggest you look at the Top Parts Dealers thread I started a few weeks ago. Please note, they are listed in alphabetical order! http://gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19893)

Or...take notice of the Gas Gas dealers who are listed here on the forum as sponsors. (See those rotating banner ad's?) Of course, you can always use the dealer locator on our website. www.gasgasmotos.us

Let's all get out and ride our bikes and hope for the best, as we all await the decision of the courts. Thanks for everyone's continued support!

Thanks Rod. As a matter of fact I have a starter ring gear in the basement not being used. My reason for asking is I am looking at buying another bike, Gas Gas bikes are available at great prices right now, I am on the fence as to weather I should buy a discounted bike or spend a bit more and get a Beta or Sherco. I have Steve Beane nearby, he is great to deal with.

Then best of luck with your decision :)
