Power Valve vent tube

So, I just read the tech tip on the gas gas website and it talks about routing the power valve vent tube. Apparently my dealer never clipped the wire tie that had it plugged. Could this be the reason I have so much spooge? My jetting seems to be just right.

The Q Stealth silencer will always have spooge.

Opening up the drain tube will keep spooge from building up in the power valve chamber. Which can make its way into the pipe.

I figured there would always be spooge with the stealth. Mine seems especially bad though. I don't know. Maybe it is rich. A lot of our singletrack is really tight and technical, so I spend a lot of time lugging. I'm sure that's part of it as well.

Leaner slide? Interesting. I'm pretty familiar with jetting but i've never thought of a different slide. Please elaborate?

A leaner slide can make the low to mid transition more aggressive. To clean up the low better a different needle is usually the way to go. You need one with a larger shank diameter that has a longer straight section before the taper. I found that the JD red needle works well for me.

I don't believe that only because of a Suzuki I had. Bought all new header/silencer, ran the jetting uncomfortably lean and still had black garbage all over the place. Plug was bleached bone white. I finally gave up on keeping it clean and ran the jetting where the plug looked good. Tons of power but I sold it for a huge loss after throwing all the parts on it.

The Qstealth produces more spooge out the end because of its strange baffle system. It catches the super fine mist of oil that a straight through silencer would just blow out into the atmosphere. Spooge is not only caused by rich jetting. That is a very bad misconception that people always make. It can be caused by using oil that has a very high flashpoint. The engine will not get hot enough to burn the oil so it gets deposited into the exhaust. Spooge can also be caused by a silence that needs re packed.
