Pulling Rear Shock EC250R..help

I am pulling the shock off 2012 EC250R. Pulled exhaust but not enough room to wiggle out. Do I really need to pull swingarm, airbox, carb or what? any help is appreciated

I dont know about the 12, but both my 06 and 15 models I do like this:

Remove tank.
Remove the lower subframe bolts.
Losen (but not remove) the upper ones.
Losen the rear hose clamps on the carb.
Swing the rear subframe up.

Then you have easy access.

There's actually a thread on this, most likely in the chassis suspension section. I seem to remember not having to remove as much as u did.
