Questions and help please?

Hello there,
This is my first post and was hoping for some help please?

I am looking at buying a GasGas EC 250cc racing enduro.
What is the difference between the racing and a normal EC 250cc?. Also looking at the maintenance schedule it seems a lot of replacement parts after 3 to 4 fill ups? Does everyone do this or just check and replace when you think it needs its? What sort of power does this bike have? Also the bike is not road registered how hard would it be to do this? Do all GasGas come with frame, engine number so it could be road registered?
Sorry for so many questions! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What state are you in and what year bike do you have?

To road register your bike is different for all states, some are easy, others are a little difficult and others NO WAY forget it! Alot have to do with the VIN number, my 1997 EC250 was a nightmare to even get a title and off road plate. Up to a certain year the euro vin codes where not in the DMV database and contained an extra number. Which thru off every DMV agent I talked to. There is a thread about the vins on here somewhere.

As far as maintenance goes, that to is different for everyone. I read the manual just recently to an EC300 I just picked up and about fell over in my chair reading the maintenance schedule....boy am I a slacker when comes to that!

I'm sure one of the UK gasser owners can answer about the registration. Go for the model with the new 48mm closed chamber forks if you can. I'm not sure on what models the UK gets, but I'm sure someone will chime in.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your replies. Got my new Gas Gas today and it is road reg'd! It?s a 2009 EC 250 Racing, still not sure what the difference is between a normal EC and the racing?
