I recently had my 07 300 apart for servicing while engine was being rebuilt and decide to make some changes so it would be quicker and easier to get at carburetor.I removed my expansion tank, making a little bracket that bolts to tank mount, I moved the cdi to behind the number plate.Moved wiring around until it was comfortable.Welded the nut's for sub frame bolts to chassis, using a small headed bolt with same wrench size in all four spots. Also welding upper shock bolt Nut.Modified plastic frame guards so I could get at lower bolts with out removing guards.I plan to put tools were cdi was.With bike on stand and the few tool's needed out.I can remove tank and sub frame in less than two minutes!Thought it worth sharing with others.
