Radiator braces

I have bulletproof designs radiator guards on. The radiators are getting pushed back towards the gas tank pretty easily. This has happened to me twice and not even bad get offs. I like the guards but want some braces that will hopefully keep this from happening. Will any of the braces available keep this from happening? Also can I have the braces and the guards on at the same time?

I'm surprised by that. I have BPD guards on a KTM and you could hit them with a truck without damage as they fix to both the rads and the frame. The combination makes for a very rigid support.

Which model and year bike do you have?

2018 XC 300. I have them on a beta and they have held up well also. Not sure what it is about this set up. It has happened to both sides.

Do they bolt to both the frame and the radiator. I thought the rads on my 2019 EC300 were a bit flimsy but I didn't have any braces or guards instaĺled.

Have you spoken to BPD about the issue? They may be able to make suggestions.

I use these and think they do what you want:

Their advantage is that they are connected to each other and brace against the frame. Not undestroyable though. The rads also move slightly within the braces as they are rubber mounted.

Big disadvantage is that you can't use a proper Spal fan.

The radiator has 2 bolts to bolt to the frame and some rubber spacers. The BPD guards use the same 2 bolts so the guards and radiator are bolted through the same hole to the frame. Same setup as my beta. It looks to me like the guard itself is getting bent which the. Bends the radiator since they are attached. I guess I will just have to be more careful

Yes, you are right. I had the BPD on my Honda and it was the very same there...
