Rear disk protector choices

Scott's seems like the best one. The others I have seen only bolt to the swingarm. I don't think you want that.

I was looking through one of the rags and noticed that T.M. Designworks had a plastic RMS (return memory) rear disc guard. Only problem is that it bolts to the swing arm. But then again it way not break off.

They don't bolt onto the swingarm. They actually bolt to the stock brake carrier. Although I went that way, many folks find that they break off tabs. I figured if I did that I would buy the Scotts.

Sorry. I wasn't sure where they bolted but now I know.

Skidad,

If you can't swing the coin for the Scotts, just get a generic Moose or MSR shark fin, and have it TIG welded to the carrier. Full length bead, both sides, around the tabs. Relatively cheap and if it does bend, a tire iron in the slots will bend it back in seconds.

Ballard's Racing here in Australia have a good disk protector (suits XR's)that bolts onto the original brake carrier. Pretty cheap too. I will post a website

Hey John,
Nothing as of yet with the sensor... luckily it hasn't been damaged and besides making somthing in the shed that is really ugly I have no idea! Hopefully someone here might have some have an option. Where are you getting your spare parts from

Cheers
Adam

IMO there is only 1 choice, Scotts.
Mine has been on all 3 of my Gas Gas 300s. A span of 5 years of racing and putting the type of miles and abuse I put on stuff and it still works as good as the day I installed it, now on my current bike.
They are overbuilt. For guys like me who keep purchasing the same bike that the brake carrier stays the same on only makes the investment a savings in the long run.
