I thought I'd share some pics after her maiden voyage, some battle scars may be present due to 100 miles of Ohio trails. I didn't get any before restoration pics but, trust me, it wasn't pretty!

Some more, including a close up of the rear wheel, both wheels are from a Cannondale, I enjoy mixing parts from various bikes!

The hubs were cleaned by hand with liquid aluminum cleaner, the Cannondale hubs are billet and I am thinking that those bikes were never ridden much, therefore their used wheels are typically in very good condition considering that they are 15 ears old.

Looking good! It's been awhile since I've had a Honda, do those Showa forks use a 20mm axle same as the Gasser? I'm hoping to one day get rid of the WP43's on my '01 (while keeping my D.I.D. "U" wheels) in favor of a closed chamber fork like you've done and the Showa's are a more readily available option.

Yes the OEM GG wheels easily swap onto the Honda forks by using a Honda axle and minor spacer modification. The rotor diameter on GG is 260mm and Honda is 240mm so a aftermarket caliper relocation bracket such as from Braking, Motomaster, etc. would be required.

Just took a closer look.....you nailed it!! Keeping the nickel frame with the showa forks, graphics and one off hubs looks great.

Very...very nice!

I like it. Cannondale wheels have to be harder to find than gg wheels
C Dale wheels are difficult but not impossible to locate. My theory is that , unlike a GG which gets ridden forever , the C Dales didn't get ridden much due to reliability issues and thus were parted out. The point of the C Dale wheels is to illustrate parts crossover. The C Dale rear wheel would not appeal to most off road riders due to it being a 19". The point is that the C Dale wheels are based on mid 90's Honda wheels, the importance of this fact is that the Honda CR500's continued to use an 18" rear wheel for their entire production run which ended in 2001. Many of the CR500's have had the engines removed to be planted into the newer aluminum frames thus creating many used parts such as wheels.

Awesome job! Where are the white plastics from?

The side panels and rear fender are from UFO for the 94-98 KX125/250. Headlight is OEM GG from Hebo , this I believe was a lucky find as I only recall ever seeing one. Front fender is also UFO , Honda style.

Oh I like the swapping/hybrid/custom stuff. Nice job on this bike. I like those billet hubs. I may have to look out for a set. As far as being 19" I don't care, I can always lace up a new 18" rim.

Our group is always building custom stuff. One of my friends is building a suzuki ltr quad chassis with a ktm 360 2 stroke motor. One of these days I'm going to build a lightweigh xr200. I'm going for sub 200 lbs.
