Rekluse Z-start in a 15 model

As you may have noticed from my recent posts I have just bought a 2015 EC200 to replace my 06 model. The plan is to install the old Rekluse in the new bike.

The Z-start parts should replace the OEM pressure plate (with connected throwout).

However, there are som differences in the clutches between the models. I think the overall clutch dimensions are the same. They use the same disks afaik. But the pressure plate and throwout is different. The new OEM throwout does not match the Z-start pressure plate and the Z-start throwout does not match the new pushrod and ball bearing .
Does this explanation make any sense to you?

My initial idea would be to use the old pushrod and ball in the new bike if it fits. An alternative would be to machine the Rekluse pressure plate to match the new throwout (if possible).

Did anyone here ever install the old Z-start in a newer model bike? Any suggestoons on how to proceed?

I am not sure how to do it ?But if you could ship that 2015 200 over to me I have a 2011 with a Recluse that I could put in for you test it for say 6 months then ship it back . I would also do this for NO CHARGE !

Yea right. And free of charge as well!

Well, as we were babysitting our granddaughter the whole weekend workshop time was non existing. I just popped our there now an did some detail studies of the 15. I also consulted the parts books. There are two main differences. The clutch slave cylinder and the throwout "mushroom" are different between the 06 and 15 while the pushrod is the same part no. My thesis now is that the new slave cylinder maks the rod sit further towards the clutch side on the 15. Hence will the Rekluse Z-start throwout "mushroom" not sit deep enough into the hollow shaft.

Tomorrow I will try to the vendor by looking in detail at the 06 which has been moved to another (cold and dark) building.

Perhaps the solution might be to use an older clutch slave cylinder. Or perhaps I must give UP the install and buy a EXP Core 3.0?

I know they're expensive, but we have one of every model Rekluse auto clutch in our garage and the 3.0 is absolutely amazing. You really do not know it's in there at all. By comparison, the Z-start pro feels sluggish and unresponsive. Also the new Rekluses have an external adjuster, so you don't have to take the clutch cover to make minor tweaks. I don't work for Rekluse, but I sure love that 3.0 and it seems like the z-start will involve some tinkering to make it work.

I also agree that the 3.0 is really amazing I have one in my 200 and my 300 . Next will be the trials bike !

Today I drove 400 km to collect a parcel. It contains a Rekluse Core Exp 3.0. As you understand, the Z-start route is abandoned, and a lot of money has been spent.
I even drove by the norwegian importer Tandberg MC and picked up a new clutch cover gasket and a bottle of GRO mineral oil.

This evening and tomorrow evening will be spent setting it all up, including a Rekluse slave cylinder.

Now Its installed. Core EXP 3.0. including new cover and adjustable slave cylinder.

I have only done a few starts according to the Rekluse break in procedure, but it seems to work exactly as expect ed :)
