Removing electric start

I have a 2011 250 that I haven't used electric start since I purchased it in 2012. I would prefer to clean up the look and lose the added weight. Anybody already done this? Thanks in advance for any advice and specific instructions.

You would need the non e-start ignition cover. If you wanted to simplify the wiring, it would be best to do a swap with someone who wants an e-start and trade them your sub frame and wiring harness, which is what I did to gain my e-start. But to remove just the starting apparatus only requires replacing the ignition cover with a non e-start cover.

Thank you. I'll call Halls and order the new cover.

bringing this post back from the dead, but any chance you still have all of the e start components you took off the bike? I have a non e start bike I would be interested in converting
