Retaining clip for shift lever? any crossover replacements?

I ordered a new shift lever for bike. During the removal of the shift lever I bent the retaining clip / circlip by opening it too far.

The part number is ME25636043 $2.70 GasGas - 12X1 SEEGER

Just wondering if this clip is the same size as ones used on other bikes.

you can buy those at every good machine parts store or hard supply

Just a basic circlip. You should be able to hind one at a hardware store.

Found them at the hardware store last night. I never had a reason to look for those. I didn't know they'd carry them. Of course the two sizes I guessed with were too big. I brought the original with me. I'll get the right one with a few spares after work.
